Toys move when humans aren't around. Their primary rule is, in fact, that humans can never be allowed to see them move. Apparently, the penalty for being seen moving is that Santa will dispatch an elf team to collect the guilty toy and either destroy it or exile it to some island in the artic sea.
Last year (2000) in September, Chris yelled that he had seen Puffy move. Though it saddened him because Puffy had always been special to him, Santa, who monitors all kid activities for the naughty/nice thing, immediately dispatched a group of elves to get Puffy.
Puffy, however, wasn't in a mood to go peacefully. He slammed the door in the elves faces and then hit them with snowballs. The elves called for reinforcements (The famous "Black Elf Gang.") and the battle was on. The Puff Squad (except for Green, who didn't want Santa mad at her) joined in and fought. It was terrible. Snowballs flying, eyes flashing, reindeer screaming, the battle went on for hours.
The Evil Alien cut a deal with Santa. He led an attack on Puffy's rear while the elves attacked from the front with reindeer air support in exchange for being the made the Boss Toy when Puffy was taken.
It was a near thing. Fortunately, one of the Robots managed to warn Puffy just in the nick of time and New threw a Super Snowflake right in the Evil Alien's face.
In the end, there were elf bodies scattered all over the house. The toys cleaned them up and buried them in the back yard. We don't think Santa has given up. We think he is just biding his time and waiting for Puffy to drop his guard. Puffy's lab is set up to automatically search for elf signs or approaching reindeer.
Needless to say, the relationship between the Akers family and Santa has been a bit cool lately. Chris got most of what he asked for for Christmas this year, but no extras and Santa didn't get the customary milk and cookies.
Plotting revenge against Chris for killing their grandfather, a group of alligators snuck into our home at night.
The toys, recognizing the threat to their master, swung into action. An alligator got a hold of Puffy, and Puffy smacked him with a snowball.
The battle was wild. The alligators got Green.
The bears rallied to save Green and defeat the alligators!
